When I hear the term ‘goal’, I personally feel an attached connotation of ‘admiring from afar but maybe not ever achieving’ those things for yourself, at least not all of them. A lot of people set goals but fail to accomplish them thus pushing the resolution back yet another year. So for me, I don’t like to make a “goals” list for myself. I simply make “to-do” lists. Just by using that term over ‘goal’, I’m somehow much more motivated – not to mention I LOVE the satisfaction of physically crossing things off of my to-do lists.
I also make my list end of January. This is because I feel I have a better sense of how the year will pan out. I base it on the speed and progress already obtained within the first few weeks. Also, things that I want to complete may already get checked off my list so I’m better able to fine tune or expand on my line items. In this case, I’ve already checked off a couple things so now I can be more specific or add onto those specific items!
1. Land a hotel collab. Completed within 2 weeks and will be doing my next mid-Feb! My goal now is to complete at least 6 by year’s end
2. Travel to 3 different cities in the US that I either haven’t been to in years or have never visited
3. Develop and cultivate my Godly Girl Gang aka start a women’s bible study group
4. Improve on my blog’s aesthetics. I want to hire someone to help make it more interactive. I honestly built this blog with no knowledge of site building and there’s so many things I need help with – just haven’t gone seeking for it because I’m lazy hehe
5. Be more selective with my collaborations. Do less sponsored posts even if it means getting paid less. I don’t want brands to dictate every single photo I take. I love cultivating outfits from old pieces more than anything
6. Attend Fall NYFW, (Spring would be too soon). I didn’t even bother with Spring Fashion Week in Feb cause I thought there would be no way in h*ll I could make it happen. Well, I made it happen and I’m going. Lol *what is life*.
7. Attend the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
8. Take a girls trip out of state
10. Not be lazy in planning my birthday this year (lol). I really want to stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel this year. I have my heart set on Nashville next year.
11. Be more plugged into and involved in Church. Beginning end of February, I am going to “Kingdom Culture”, and 8-week course at my church with my girlfriends
12. Get sent to Stagecoach (hehe)
13. Implement more lifestyle photos to my Instagram feed aka in the moment photos, home decor, personal life, friends and family, pretty little things, etc.
14. Get better summer abs
15. Continue to inspire readers and followers with my faith-related blog posts. Clothes come and go and Jesus is forever
16. Plan a cabin trip. I’ve been wanting to do this for over 5 years. I’m finally making moves. And yes, my guest list will be carefully handpicked 🙂
