Now that you guys have seen Tyler’s proposal, it’s time for me to reveal my own proposal to my bridal shower!
Although gathering some general ideas from Pinterest, Google, and Etsy, nothing struck me as, “OMG I NEEEED to do that”. I knew I couldn’t necessarily re-invent the concept of the proposal box, however, I knew I’d be better off creating my own. I’m an arts and crafts junkie so the satisfaction of my own creation was my sole motivation factor.
Hobby Lobby was my best friend in most of this. I bought the boxes (they’re called ‘photo boxes’), floral add-ons, foliage, pearls, and confetti strands there. The round clear balloons, balloon confetti, and proposal cards were purchased on Etsy. The candles were from Nordstrom and the blush ‘Bride Squad’ robes were from Boohoo.
I held the proposal at Saint & Second, a cute trendy restaurant/bar on 2nd street in Long Beach. The goal was to keep every element of this pre-wedding journey as cohesive as possible, meaning everything from the proposal box colors & design to the proposal location would all tie in (to an extent) with the theme of our wedding and wedding venue. You just have to set the tone, ja feel? Needless to say, it was a wonderful afternoon spent with my beautiful ladies. Below are some more images from the luncheon!

So with all that being said, let the wedding festivities commence! I want to keep most of the planning a secret still because I don’t want to spoil the imagery for our guests, but I do promise to blog any notable topics or updates worth sharing like my Wedding Dress Shopping 101 post! I’ve created profiles on both The Knot and Wedding Wire and have already learned a great amount of any and everything wedding/wedding guest related.
My beautiful ladies: Christy Gonzales, Paige Rodriguez, Amanda Cadena, Karen Padin, Sheena Enrique, Bailey Estrada, Lexie Schreifels, and Tiffany Wang.
XO, Jay
